Finance Business Partner 85k 1 year FTC

Our client are hiring a finance business partner for a 1 year contract, to start asap this month. You will need to work from their London office 2-3 days a week.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide finance support and management information to the team to help the business unit to achieve its revenue objectives, manage costs and track Operating Profit against latest forecast. The role is focused on maximizing the Group wide profitability of client projects managed by the business unit.

The role consolidates and reports on any revenue metric requested by the business in relation to Group Revenue, including assistance with global RFPs and RFIs. Various group revenue metrics are published monthly for Group management accounts and bi-annually for interim and annual results.

The role also supports the Group Financial Controller in providing and enhancing the provision of group-wide revenue information to enable budgeting, forecasting and monitoring of secured and prospective revenue. This includes reporting of performance against the Group's KPIs. You will work closely with the Group-wide finance and Operations and Marketing teams as well as the revenue generating units.

Key activities:

Weekly/Bi weekly responsibilities

• Report business unit weekly revenue update to team
• Report snapshot reports on management KPI's including revenue by client, by service, any new business

Monthly Tasks re management reporting

• Full management reporting
• Balance sheet and Cash flows
• PLC Marketing management accounts reporting
• Reconcile revenue by client in Salesforec vs BPC
• Monthly P&L and revenue review meetings with the MD of the Global Engagement team

Quarterly Tasks re Budgets/Forecasting

• Working with the above teams (Global Engagement, Marketing and CEE) to help prepare full Budgets and Forecasts
• Work with the Global Engagement teams to ensure all child projects are up to date so intercompany partner costs are allocated accurately to the group

Annual

• Year end and interim audit tasks where relevant
• Group revenue analysis (incl. digital revenue metric)

Project Budgeting and Profitability

• Review of commercial and financial terms in new client contracts and renewals with the aim to improve/manage cash collections cycle
• Review project/client profitability reports and work with Client Partners to understand their current project margin with a goal to improve it

Ad Hoc

• Assist the Group FC to continually improve revenue forecasting and management reporting across the Group by building in automation where possible to achieve standardization across all locations
• Education/training of the teams in use of Salesforce so as to reduce Finance admin work
• Support Client Partners and New Business team on RFIs and RFPs
• Active involvement in all group projects

What will you bring to the role:

• 5+ years' experience as a Qualified Accountant
• Experience of working with SalesForce/FinancialForce;

• Excellent numerical, Excel and analytical skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise conflicting demands;
• Self-motivated with good organisational and time management skills;
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines;
• Aptitude for problem-solving;
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal clients;
