Director Of Hygiene

Salary Range: $80000 $110000 per year

Job Summary:

The Director of Hygiene will oversee the hygiene department ensuring clinical excellence and operational efficiency. This role involves managing a team of hygienists implementing best practices and maintaining high standards of patient care. Additionally the Director of Hygiene will see patients 12 days per week to stay connected with clinical practice and patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management:
  • Supervise and mentor the hygiene team fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Develop and implement policies procedures and protocols for the hygiene department
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the hygiene team providing feedback and professional development opportunities
• Clinical Duties:
  • Provide highquality dental hygiene care to patients 12 days per week including cleanings examinations and preventive treatments
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in dental hygiene and incorporate evidencebased practices into patient care
• Operational Oversight:
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards including OSHA and HIPAA
  • Manage scheduling inventory and budgeting for the hygiene department
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient flow and enhance the overall patient experience
• Patient Care and Education:
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
  • Address patient concerns and ensure a high level of patient satisfaction
• Quality Improvement:
  • Analyze hygiene department performance metrics and implement improvement strategies
  • Lead initiatives to enhance patient care quality and operational efficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene or related field; Masters degree preferred
• Current state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical dental hygiene experience
• Previous experience in a leadership or management role within a dental practice
• Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of dental hygiene practices technologies and regulatory requirements
