Job Description
Short Description : Database Administrator (DBA) Canberra Hybrid Role
OpenTo: Australian Citizens With Baseline Clearance Or HigherLocation: Canberra Hybrid Role
Duration: 12 months
As the team DBA you will play a key role in ensuring DBA project deliverables are met.
Essential to this role will be your ability to work across multiple work packages both on a project and a businessasusual team.
Deliverables
Working under the direction of the project manager your duties will include:
- Deliver work packages to support multiple projects
- developing relevant documentation including handover to BAU SoPs detailed designs and highlevel designs.
- (as time permits) providing onthejob training and knowledge transfer to other staff to support internal capability uplift.
Essential criteria
1. Tertiary qualifications in ICT or a related field and/or equivalent experience as a database administrator (8 years).
2. Experience administering SQL Server from legacy SQL Server 2012 to all versions of SQL Server in the Azure cloud.
3. TSQL and powershell scripting experience
4. Experience with onpremises high availability clusters
5. Experience decommissioning legacy SQL Server 2012 servers and Experience migrating databases between different versions of SQL Server
6. Experience with Commvault backup and restore
Desirable criteria
1. Experience with SAS Grid or SAS Viya
