Position Title: SAP Basis Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Basis Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of extensive experience in SAP Basis administration with a deep understanding of SAP systems architecture and best practices. This role requires exceptional technical expertise leadership skills and the ability to drive strategic SAP Basis initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

SAP Basis Administration:
- Manage and oversee the administration of SAP systems including ECC S/4HANA BW PI/PO CRM Solution Manager and other SAP components.
- Perform system installations upgrades patches and migrations.
- Monitor and maintain the performance availability and security of SAP systems.

System Architecture and Design:
- Design and implement robust SAP landscapes and architecture solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software requirements for optimal SAP system performance.
- Develop and enforce SAP Basis standards policies and procedures.

Performance Tuning and Optimization:
- Conduct performance analysis and tuning of SAP systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and system issues to improve system performance.
- Implement best practices for database and application tuning.

Backup and Recovery:
- Develop and manage comprehensive backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems.
- Ensure data integrity and availability through regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
- Perform system restores and data recovery as needed.

Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain SAP security policies and procedures.
- Manage user access roles and authorizations to ensure system security and compliance.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Project Leadership and Support:
- Lead and manage SAP Basis projects including implementations upgrades and migrations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP systems.

Troubleshooting and Support:
- Provide expertlevel support for complex SAP Basis issues and incidents.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system errors performance issues and other technical challenges.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations changes and issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience: 15 years of experience in SAP Basis administration.
- Skills:
- Indepth knowledge of SAP Basis administration including system installations upgrades and migrations.
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture and components (ECC S/4HANA BW PI/PO CRM Solution Manager etc.).
- Proficiency in database management systems (Oracle SQL Server HANA etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a remote team environment.
- Certifications: SAP Basis certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud) and SAP Cloud solutions.
- Knowledge of SAP HANA and S/4HANA migrations and administration.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori and SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- Experience with automation and monitoring tools (e.g. SAP Solution Manager thirdparty tools).
