Director of Human Resources

JOB SUMMARY:

Our Human Resources Director is responsible for setting the vision and direction for HR activities and driving a positive organizational culture. As our HR Director you will manage recruitment selection onboarding HRIS compensation payroll and required reporting benefits wellness programs training & development diversity initiatives employee relations investigations performance management disciplinary actions and legal compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• The successful candidate will have a bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Industrial Psychology or other related fields.
• The candidate must have at least five (5) years of work experience as an HR Generalist including prior supervisory experience and significant knowledge of employment laws at the federal state and park district code levels.
• Previous experience with HRIS payroll and timekeeping systems experience being a part of systems upgrades/implementation
• Previous experience developing HR processes and procedures.
• To be successful in this role candidates must have outstanding communication skills excellent judgment and decisionmaking skills and previous experience dealing with employmentrelated crisis situations employee relations disputes etc.
• A valid IL drivers license is required.
• Professional HR certification preferred.
