Weare looking for an Hardware Engineer to provide significant technical input to the design implementation and testing of hardware projects leading to technical ownership of hardware design initiatives.
Location: REMOTE Philippines/Malaysia
Functions
Design analog and digital circuits for lowpower batterypowered devices and other hotel room control infrastructure
Take responsibility for the design and overall quality of the hardware and provide leadership and guidance for junior engineers.
Document design specifications and implementation details.
Lead design reviews and uphold hardware design standards and methodologies.
Realize complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable hardware solutions.
Responsible for the complete implementation of detailed technical items and an understanding/appreciation of systemlevel items.
Flexibility is essential as specifications may not be fully defined at the start of development and liaison with customers for continued feedback and input of requirements is likely throughout the development.
Collaborate with other team members (including Firmware and software engineers) to agree on system designs interfaces protocols etc.
Develop appropriate test hardware and procedures both informal and formal to prove the correct operation of hardware.
Provide support for the hardware and manage component obsolescence throughout its lifecycle.
Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested by management.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or a related subject.
Minimum of 5 years of proven design experience in the industry.
Excellent knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuit design.
Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation.
Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production.
Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills.
Able to support/debug system integration.
Good communicator.
Ability to work individually and in a team.
Innovative thinker and problem solver.
Ability to effectively research and solve complex technical issues.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with customer representatives from various backgrounds ranging from junior to the most senior levels while displaying a confident polite and professional demeanor at all times.
