Job Description

Position: Specialist Occupational Medicine

Location: Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain

Job Overview: Our prestigious client in Bahrain is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Occupational Medicine / Physician to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in occupational medicine and a passion for promoting the health and well-being of employees in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational health assessments and provide recommendations for employee health and safety
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses
  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on occupational health and safety policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement health promotion programs
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date on current occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Manage and maintain employee health records and ensure confidentiality
  • Conduct audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace
  • Provide training and education to employees on occupational health and safety topics
  • Collaborate with HR and management to develop return-to-work programs for employees on sick leave
  • Participate in the development and review of company policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety

Qualifications:

  • MBBS Medical degree and specialization in Occupational Medicine is a must
  • Valid license to practice as a Specialist Occupational Medicine
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational medicine
  • In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
