Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic electrical and/or automation engineer with field experience in maritime shipping and/or offshore oil & gas sectors Can you read electrical/pneumatic drawings and are you PLC literate Do you enjoy travelling worldwide Then do not wait a minute and apply!
On behalf of MAN Energy Solutions MARPRO is looking for a Field Service Engineer Automation for the field service department in Schiedam.
Key duties
- Carry out automation and electrical service jobs troubleshooting and commissioning jobs on board vessels on engine control and safety systems as well as propulsion control systems.
- Complete commissioning and service attendances in a timely and effective manner
- Collect all necessary information related to each project in order to prepare the attendance.
- Make an action plan and deliver proper documentation after any service or commissioning job.
- Act as the representative for MAN Energy Solutions Netherlands BV towards customers.
- Promote the development and implementation of best practices in your own area of responsibility.
Professional Qualifications
- A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and/ or Automation Engineering affinity with marine engineering mechanical engineering or similar disciplines.
- Able to read electrical/pneumatic drawings and have PLC literacy (Codesys).
- Experience with installation commissioning and troubleshooting of marine equipment.
- Field experience in Maritime shipping and/or offshore oil & Gas installations.
- Can work effectively and efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
- Selfmotivated well organized highly collaborative and a team player; able to work independently.
- Can work under time pressure and you have excellent technical and communication skills.
- Good command of the English language (spoken and written).
- Ready to travel often and on short notice worldwide.
