Glassroom Toronto is looking for a Media Strategy Director who will be responsible to help lead the daytoday business strategy across key agency accounts in Toronto and help elevate Glassrooms strategy product in the marketplace.
This is a pure strategy and client leadership role where the expectations will be to develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of the clients various lines of business service the daytoday business operations and drive the client bottom line from a strategic and business perspective.
As part of the requirements a solid understanding of the Canadian 360 media ecosystem and media sciences will be a must. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a passion for seeking out new opportunities and innovation with the ability to work effectively across all channels develop key consumer insights that will drive client strategy product and planning activation and interact/collaboration with multiple agency teams including performance and business intelligence.

Responsibilities
Overall
Partner with and support the Glassroom executive leadership team to help drive the goals of the company;
Lead a team of strategists across multiple lines of business while helping mentor and develop the future talent of the organization;
Guide the development of integrated media strategies across strategy activation and performance team as well as collaborate with other intergroup divisions as required to deliver the best results for the client and company;
Lead client planning process and strategy presentation process;
Manage overall client timelines deliverables and projects across multiple agency teams;
Stay on top of industry trends new media opportunities and foster innovative thinking as part of your commitment to the agency leadership team.
Client Relationship Management
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both clients and our key agency partnerships to build trust transparency and mutual respect between the organizations;
Oversee all aspects of the daytoday client communication with client your internal teams and the marketplace;
Lead vs manage to ensure the agency is always on the initiative.
Internal Leadership
Ensure that tasks are completed on time project status is monitored and client requests are handled in a timely manner;
Oversee all financial and rev management reporting agency time/pacing reports and that budget controls and forecasts are issued accurately and on time to support executive team decisionmaking;
Accurately represents the clients point of view when reviewing work leverage this perspective when providing feedback to team/presenting client work and ultimately stay focused on doing the best work possible for our clients and making impactful contributions to driving their business bottom line;
Ensure collaboration among all Agency departments to foster a culture of teamwork and the creation of better work for the client.
Requirements
Bachelors degree or advanced diploma in Marketing or Communications or related area
Minimum 7 years experience in a senior 360 planning (online/offline) and 5 years spent client facing agency roles.
Experience working with both national and global clients
Comprehensive understanding of media sciences including MMM and geospatial intelligence
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure the effective leadership of both client business and internal teams
