Global Controller
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance Accounting or related field.
- Have a degree or professional license.
- High level written verbal and oral English language skills.
- Have VISA to travel to US.
- 6 years of accounting/finance experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- CPA or advanced degree.
- Experience in life sciences manufacturing and/or medical device manufacturing industries.
- US GAAP accounting knowledge.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate accounting with some familiarity in anufacturing costing principles to understands P&L and balance sheet dynamics.
- Proficient in understanding Financial Statements General Ledger and general accounting concepts such as accruals and prepaid expenses.
- Strong software utilization capabilities and ability to quickly learn planning/reporting systems ERDP and visualization tools.
- Expert Microsoft skills with high levels of proficiency in excel particularly with data manipulation and financial formulas/operations.
Job Purpose:
The role’s primary responsibility is to ensure accuracy and integrity of business’ financials and forecasts. The job holder will need to apply sound judgement to proactively identify and manage the business and financial risks. Ensure compliance with company’s policies accounting standards and other regulations and lead the continuous improvement and development of the business’ financial reporting.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Leads global financial consolidations process for midsize medical device component manufacturing company with annual revenue of $140MM and 500 employees.
- Prepares global monthly quarterly and annual reporting and analysis including P&L balance sheet sales reporting and other analysis.
- Partner with site Controllers in Mexico and Australia to coordinate all aspects of the monthly and quarterly close process including reviewing expense accruals management reporting and budget vs. actual variance analysis.
- Support Finance Director on cashflow modelling and projections.
- Oversee that capital projects are within the approved budget.
- Maintain administer and oversee company credit card program.
- Coordinate with external accounting firms in the preparation of US Federal State and sales/used tax for quarterly/annual returns.
- Support new ERP implementation team in all the finance modules.
- Provide adhoc analyses and other project support to the assigned business unit(s) leadership teams.
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies as needed.
- Travel requirement to other sites of 10 – 20%.
