Job Description
Junior Application Developer
Start Date: A.S.A.P
Location: Port Elizabeth
Responsibilities
As an Application Developer you will:
- Write medium to complex systems and applications using best software development practices.
- Investigate issues and requests received from clients ensuring timely resolution.
- Assist with data manipulation database changes and database design.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to build new features.
- Fix bugs and enhance application performance.
- Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
- Work closely with graphic designers to convert designs into visual elements.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Analyze documentation and provide accurate time estimates for tickets.
- Required Skills and Frameworks
We re looking for candidates with expertise in the following areas:
- .NET Framework
- ASP.NET Webforms
- VB.NET Framework
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Git Source Control
- Bitbucket
- Design Patterns (MVC / MVVM)
- Web Fundamentals (HTML CSS)
- Javascript / jQuery
- Frontend (CSS) frameworks like Bootstrap
- API design and development
- RESTful Services
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should have:
Minimum 1 3 years of experience (excluding internships) with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Own reliable transport for commuting to our Port Elizabeth office.
Quality references that highlight your skills and work ethic.
No criminal record.
