Job Description
The Role:
Are you an upper limb fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon looking for work life balance, 300 days of sunshine a year, and an attractive beach to bush lifestyle in a bustling regional hub? Then this is the job you ve been waiting for!
Total remuneration value of up to $514,421

The Hospital has four operating theatres and two procedure rooms. The operating theatre complex is supported by a 6 bed ICU/HDU. The Department is accredited for specialist training and is heavily involved in teaching and research.
The role is to provide specialist upper limb services, elective and trauma, including shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. The successful candidate will work closely with our hand therapy service and physiotherapists. The position includes elective operating, general and specialist trauma operating, elective and fracture clinics, teaching of the AOA trainee and other junior doctors, contribution to audit, M&M and departmental research.

Situated close to stunning beaches, perfect for snorkelling, scuba diving and boating and surrounded by the Ranges/Mountain thus creating an impressive backdrop for the vibrant city and coast.

Skills/Qualifications:
Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). This will require Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in the specialty of Orthopaedic Surgery, or equivalent recognised qualification.
