Big Data Developer

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Big Data Developer with expertise in Spark and Java to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in big data technologies particularly with Apache Spark and proficiency in Java programming. You will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining big data solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain big data solutions using Apache Spark and Java.
• Implement and optimize data processing workflows to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
• Perform performance tuning of Spark applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Integrate data from various sources and ensure data quality and consistency.
• Work closely with data engineers data scientists and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Write clean maintainable and efficient code following best practices.
• Identify and resolve issues related to big data processing and application performance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data processing workflows and applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• 6 years of experience in big data development using Spark and Java.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Strong experience with Apache Spark for big data processing.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS Hive etc.).
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud) is a plus.
