Job Description

Location Dearborn MI

Internal Job Description

Provide direction for controls equipment locations for safety maintenance and production consideration for tool install and through launch.

Verify all Ford safety standards are followed

Analyze customer requirements and map to NGAVS systems design

Develop process flow diagrams based on customer input

Own for the integration of NGAVS with Ford Vehicle Operations tooling and process control systems

Work with vendor controls engineers to install test and debug standard NGAVS logic and drivers

Create custom PLC code for plant unique situations or modify standard templates and AOLs to address issues identified by others

Modify standard HMI code for AllenBradley PanelView HMIs for plant specific requirements

May also direct the efforts of others including agency personnel or thirdparty controls integrators depending on the project assigned

To support New Model Program build events (TT PP MP1&2) the candidate may be required to work during nonstandard hours such as evenings weekends or holidays.

Experience Required :

5 years of experience with AllenBradly PLC5 and ControlLogix in an automobile manufacturing environment

5Years of experience with AllenBradley PanelView HMIs Experience Preferred:

Ford Assembly plant experience

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application suite

Working knowledge of AutoCAD drawing package Additional Safety Training/Licensing/Personal Protection Requirements

Additional Information :

Must be legally able to travel to and work in U.S. Canada and Mexico.

Must be able to travel extensive to plant launch sites during critical phases of each new model program

Must be physically able to work for long hours on the assembly plant floor (body paint and final); including walking extended distances and climbing stairs/ladders to overhead mezzanines where equipment may be located

Residence of Southeast Michigan

Skills: Required:

Rockwell AllenBradly PLC5 and ControlLogix in an automobile manufacturing environment

Rockwell AllenBradley PanelView HMIs

Rockwell Factory Talk Production Center

Experience with SmartEye vehicle identification

Experience with SICK barcode scanners or equivalent (e.g. Keyence Cognex)

Experiences in Ethernet Device Net Profinet Profibus etc. networking especially Ethernet/IP

Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all levels of operating management

Strong interpersonal skills to build close working relationship with customers

Preferred:

Demonstrated aptitude to learn and apply new technologies

Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member in the team

Selfmotivated and able to work with minimal supervision
