- Oversee and manage various projects to ensure client requirements are met.
- Collaborate with team members at all levels during client projects.
- Supervise and review the work of junior accountants across multiple projects providing feedback and guidance on their performance.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
- Handle the review of complex tax returns for corporations partnerships trusts and individuals across multiple states.
- Take on the responsibility of preparing complex tax returns when necessary including formsand 1065.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of estate and trust taxation.
- Offer financial planning services to highnetworth clients focusing on estate planning gift strategies and IRA planning.
- Lead the response to tax notices and audits from tax authorities.
- Conduct tax research and offer training on various taxrelated subjects.
- Manage yearend tax assessments quarterly tax estimates and develop tax planning strategies.
- Directly manage project workflows client relationships and a team of accounting professionals.
- Provide educational materials and host webinars for clients as required.
- Exhibit strong technical tax skills and the ability to build solid client relationships.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years (or more) of experience in public accounting with a focus on managing multiple projects.
- CPA certification is highly preferred or required with a broad knowledge of tax.
- Familiarity with CCH Axcess Tax Engagement and QuickBooks software.
- Ability to work well within a team with skills in leadership and staff development.
- Strong communication skills with the capability to solve problems and analyze information effectively. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
