What Youll Do:

As a Speech Pathologist you will:

• Assess and Diagnose: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for schoolaged children.
  
• Develop Individualized Plans: Create and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each childs unique needs.
  
• Therapeutic Intervention: Provide oneonone and group therapy sessions utilizing evidencebased practices.
  
• Collaborate with Educators and Families: Work closely with teachers parents and other professionals to support each childs communication goals.
  
• Monitor Progress: Regularly evaluate and document students progress adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
  
• Advocate for Students: Serve as a resource and advocate for children with speech and language disorders within the school community.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited program.
  
• Current Virginia state license as a SpeechLanguage Pathologist (or eligibility for license).
  
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American SpeechLanguageHearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  
• Prior experience working with schoolaged children and formulating IEPs is highly desirable.
  
• Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
