Arcxis is seeking Mechanical designers and engineers with a wide range of experience who are skilled in Mechanical design and Engineering of residential structures. This includes any aspects of HVAC in production of Manual J S and D calculation duct layout designs and integration with frame design for single family and townhomes.
Mechanical Designers and Engineers collaborate and coordinate with fellow Engineers and Designers to ensure cross department Engineering and Design integration to facilitate stakeholder satisfaction with projects.
Salary will be commensurate with experience as we are seeking individuals both licensed and nonlicensed.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Job duties will be to produce Manual J S and D calculation and designs using Wrightsoft and Elite and final construction documents in AutoCAD
- Mechanical HVAC engineering and design of single and multifamily low and highrise residential HVAC systems
- Generate detailed mechanical design drawings in AutoCAD for construction documentation of mechanical systems for bidding and construction.
- Prepare Construction Documents in AutoCAD
- Work with design staff and drafters to complete projects
Competencies:
- AutoCAD (will train)
- Elite and/or Wrightsoft (will train)
- The ability to read blueprints.
- Compute dimensions from architectural plans (will train)
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work well with other Engineers/Designers.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with high attention to detail.
- Energy and building code compliance for mechanical systems.
- Drive deadlines in dynamic and fastmoving environments.
- Team players with exceptional interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
- Selfdirected with good initiative and a great multitasker
- Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft word Excel etc)
Education Experience and Qualifications:
- Preferred (but not required) Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferred (but not required) 1 years experience in Mechanical Design and drafting for residential building systems code compliance and/ or construction. (AutoCAD)
- Preferred (but not required) 1 years experience with Residential Heat load Calculation. (Wrightsoft or Elite)
