Job Description
Product Performance Manager (DBA Postgres)
Take ownership of a key product performance / DBA role in a fastgrowing awardwinning Company Play an integral role in helping to shape the product performance going forward!!
The successful candidate will be the leader responsible for the product performance management to ensure successful quality product development & scaling of the Companys SaaS platform.
Duties will involve:
- Report to the CTO to plan coordinate execute and direct performance testing server and database tuning to ensure ongoing performance of the SaaS platform.
- Configure monitor & improve PostgreSQL databases
- Design & implement database backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Troubleshoot database performance & data issues
- Assist development teams with database design & always ensuring database security best practices
Experience & Skills needed:
- 4 years experience in database performance tuning & DBA roles
- 2 years of those years managing PostgreSQL databases in a production environment
- Degree in Computer Science or similar
- Experience working in a high volume transaction environment & supporting large production database environments
- Strong knowledge of SQL & database related technologies
- Experience with: Shell scripting; Linux; Amazon AWS & RDS
