You are looking for people with IONs Fixed Income platform.

Client will consider relocation candidates as long as:

They will relocate PRIOR to the start date (typically 2 weeks from offer in order to do background and drug test).

*and* they will work onsite 23 days per week (Hybrid schedule).

They will not allow 100% remote. No clients in financial services allow 100% remote in these areas.

ION is an electronic trading platform

ION MMI an electronic trading that provides connectivity to the major exchanges such as CME BrokerTec ESpeed Bloomberg TradeWeb in addition to virtual markets created by the VMO

Your role

Are you passionate about delivering new and exciting applications to support the Fixed Income Rates and Credit trading desks Are you motivated to deliver real business value whilst ensuring existing functionality remains intact Were looking for someone like that to:

Develop solutions to key business challenges developing Java applications or using the ION toolset

Refactor and enhance existing components and solutions

Manage UAT and demonstration sessions with key stakeholders

Elicit key information from business stakeholders transforming these into concise IT requirements

Collaborate with other global IT teams

Assist production operations team in rollout and production support

You have:

Good java experience (minimum 5 years)

Good understanding of lowlatency multithreaded code

Sound knowledge of objectoriented programming and design patterns. Exposure to functional programming is also highly desirable

Experience of working in agile teams

Solid understanding of Rates and Credit bonds and derivatives

Detailed understanding of the nuances of trading venues such as Bloomberg TradeWeb

The following are highly desirable but not a strict prerequisite

o Previous ION experience to an expert level

o Previous experience of bond pricing with PXE

o Experience in automated testing and continuous integration

o Experience of Python Perl and other scripting languages

o Experience of Kafka
