Job Description

Job Summary:
NB Global Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Purchasing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships tracking costs ensuring quality assurance of purchased items managing inventory coordinating logistics and scheduling deliveries to align with project timelines. This role requires a strong background in supply chain management and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
    • Negotiate terms and conditions to ensure the best possible pricing and quality.
  2. Cost Tracking and Management:
    • Monitor and track the costs of purchased items for various projects.
    • Prepare cost analysis reports and provide insights to the VP of Purchasing.
  3. Quality Assurance and Control:
    • Conduct QA/QC checks on items leaving the warehouse and upon arrival at project sites.
    • Ensure all items meet the required standards and specifications.
  4. Inventory Management:
    • Manage and track inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for ongoing projects.
    • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and inefficiencies.
  5. Logistics Coordination:
    • Coordinate the logistics of transporting items to project sites.
    • Ensure timely delivery of items in accordance with project schedules.
  6. Delivery Scheduling:
    • Schedule deliveries of purchased items to align with project timelines.
    • Communicate effectively with project managers and site coordinators to avoid delays.
  7. Organizational Documentation:
    • Create and maintain organizational charts detailing all purchased items quantities costs and other relevant information.
    • Update records regularly and ensure accuracy.


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Organizational Skills: Must be extremely organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong detail orientation to ensure accuracy in cost tracking inventory management and QA/QC processes.
  • Relationship Driven: Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Solid background and understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Experience in a projectbased environment.
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g. CSCP CPIM).
