School Physical Therapist 2024-2025

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated and patientfocused Physical Therapist to join our team and support school districts across Illinois. As a School Physical Therapist you will play a crucial role in developing recovering or maintaining the physical mobility and functional skills of students with physical mental or developmental conditions. You will provide effective clientcentered services to enable students to participate in school activities confidently and independently and daily life.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments to evaluate students motor skills balance coordination and physical function.
  
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and in collaboration with the students educational team and family.
  
• Provide direct physical therapy services to students including therapeutic exercises mobility training and use of assistive devices.
  
• Collaborate with teachers special education staff and other related service providers to integrate therapy goals into students educational programs and classroom activities.
  
• Monitor students progress and adjust treatment plans as needed maintaining accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
  
• Educate and empower students families and school staff regarding strategies for promoting physical development mobility and independence within the school setting.
  
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings including IEP meetings to develop and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  

Requirements

• Master s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
  
• Valid Illinois state license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  
• Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred.
  
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy assessment tools and intervention strategies.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
