Senior Database Administrator

This is a remote position.

The DBA is responsible for defining and aligning procedures for data management across all the products ensuring all of them comply with the best practices of quality security and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Review all DB Queries
  
• Measure Analyze and Propose Improvements
  
• SignOff new implementations
  
• Train engineering about best practices
  
• Conduct performance tests with a high volume of data.
  
• Backups automation strategies
  
• Disaster Recovery
  
• Data Extraction and Reporting
  

Requirements

Minimal Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in computer science or related discipline
  
• At least five years of experience tuning database and web applications
  
• MySQL knowledge and experience in JSON fields under MySQL is a must
  
• MongoDB knowledge is preferred
  
• Fluent in English is a must
  
• Spanish Dutch and other languages will be considered.
  
• Knowledge of Agile principles and processes.
