Who and what are we looking for
The role of the Exports Sales Manager is to achieve maximum sales profitability growth and account penetration within East & South Africa by effectively selling the company s products and related services.
The manager will personally contact and secure new business accounts/customers.
We are looking for someone from a strong FMCG background opening new markets and bringing in new clients in the form of distributors and other retail outlets across Tanzania.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
Profitable Revenue Growth
- Achieve export sales revenue targets.
- Retain and grow the export customer base.
- Manage existing and develop new customer relationships.
- Develop channels and relationships.
Strategy Formulation and Implementation
- Contribute to overall sales and marketing strategy.
- Prepare and implement export sales and marketing plans.
- Contribute to defining export sales targets and KPIs.
- Plan the growth of the export sales team.
- JBP Planning & implementation
Financial Management
- Prepare export sales budget.
- Provide country sales forecasts.
- Manage export customer profitability (contribution).
- Monitor pricing activity in relation to prevailing exchange rates shipping costs and local economic factors.
- Collection as per terms
Product
- Identify product growth opportunities.
- Initiate opportunity evaluation.
- Competitor analysis and Value chain of PZ Brands vs Competition
- Customer analysis by country
Value Proposition
- Identify opportunities for differentiation and implement plans and actions to improve the clients position in targeted export markets.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit monthly and adhoc reports timeously.
Requirements
- Proven Track record and experience of 810 years in FMCG sales & distribution ( Personal care Home care & Beauty will be an added advantage ).
- 35 years of experience in Exports sales
- Previous experience in and knowledge of export markets including distribution channels.
- A versatile individual having a proven track record in both sales and marketing.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic marketing plans.
- An excellent communicator with the ability to perform sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Selfdriven ability to operate independently (make things happen).
- Travel experience in Africa.
- Fully computer literate
- Education Minimum Graduation (Preferably MBA )
