About the Job
Were looking for an experienced System Architect (m/f/d) to join one of our portfolio companies and define system solutions for data centres.
In your daytoday work youll be using our ventures innovative technology to create state of the art machine learning/artificial intelligence or massive scaleout interconnect platforms and get the opportunity to contribute to various projects.

In this role youll:
- Design and develop electrical and photonic architecture for data centre and high performance computing equipment
- Determine and communicate design approaches and parameters
- Drive system architecture definition for assigned program and ensure consistency/compatibility across programs
- Provide technical leadership of System Design projects attending meetings providing crossfunctional information and driving solutions
- Perform feature and cost tradeoff analysis
- Partition design tasks and lead electrical team in implementation and validation on program
- Drive appropriate simulation and ECAD
- Work with engineering managers and design engineers to assist in the creation of the development plan for programs including schedule risks and resources
- Analyse test plan requirements to perform verification and validation
- Oversee experimental tests and evaluate results. Select components based on analysis of specifications cost continuity of supply and reliability
- Ensure that designs integrate with rest of product functions including mechanical and Software
- Create and maintain required documentation including specifications
- Ensure the manufacturability reliability and serviceability of designs
Your Profile
- Experience in product early concept development through production launch
- Experience with different types of thermal management including racklevel cooling passive heat sinks and cold plates
- Understanding of chip to chip communication and communication interfaces (UCle AXI CXL BoW HBM)
- Experience and understanding of silicon photonics or CMOS ideally knowledge of optics
- A solid understanding of security elements (TPMs) within a computer system analog and digital design highspeed bus interface designCPLD / FPGA design Highspeed PCB layout design
- Strong infrastructure experience preferably data centre
- Fluency in English
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 15 years of related experience or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 12 years of related experience
Please note that we are looking for support in the Aachenoffice of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
