Job Description

Investment Analyst

Our client in the insurance sector is seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Investment Analyst to enhance their team. This role involves working with diverse financial data and contributing to the effective management of significant assets. Working Hours:
Temporary: 1:00 pm 9:00 pm (Remote)
LongTerm: 9:00 am 5:00 pm (Hybrid: Inoffice on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday)
Note: Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities:

Gather and validate a variety of financial inputs (government and corporate bond yields FX rates equity index values stock prices mutual fund values segregated fund values etc.) from various sources daily.
Run and upload Universal Life crediting rates to administrative systems supporting clientlevel ratecrediting for over $8B of assets under management. Ensure accuracy of all calculated rates within defined thresholds and investigate/report issues.
Validate the accuracy of rate uploads to seven administrative systems.
Prepare weekly and monthly marketing materials related to all crediting rates and ensure materials are posted to advisor and clientfacing outlets.
Support additional ad hoc/manual processes including data gathering rate calculation and reporting for departmental crossdepartmental and external stakeholders.
Act as a liaison between stakeholders for any delays or issues.
Support team members with training scheduling processing issues and perform validation of their work as required.
Manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic work environment where the timing of data availability changes day to day.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
Support vendor management.
Perform internal testing quality assurance and other auditing functions to ensure the integrity of department processing and workflow.
Facilitate problemsolving and remedial action by collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Manage the document and procedure library ensuring that procedures and job aids are accurate and uptodate.

What you will need to succeed:

University or college degree in Computer Science Finance Mathematics or a related field preferred.
1 year of experience in a related field.
Exposure to the financial services environment/industry is highly advantageous.
Ability to react quickly and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness.
Great attention to detail.
Strong data gathering analytical and problemsolving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes within the business.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent organization planning and time management skills.
Moderate Microsoft Excel and macro skills.
Ability to work overtime hours is essential.
