We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Senior Accountant / Team Leader to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of Australian Public Practice experience demonstrating a high level of skill and a passion for growing alongside our firm.

Job Summary:

As the Senior Accountant / Team Leader you will manage a team of accountants overseeing their work providing training and ensuring the accuracy of financial reports and tax compliance. Your role includes managing production accounting tasks analysing financial data and implementing efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the preparation of financial statements tax returns and related documents.
  • Review financial reports for accuracy and compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Develop and optimize accounting processes and procedures for efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards tax laws and internal policies.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Preparation of annual tax returns & financial accounts for:
    • Individuals
    • Sole Traders
    • Partnerships
    • Companies
    • Trusts

Skills & Experience

  • 5 years of experience in Australian public practice accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and MS Office.
  • Ability to manage a team of less experienced accountants.
  • Strong understanding of Australian taxation laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
