Job Description

Our client is a fullservice event design consultation and management company. Due to expansion they need an EVENT CONSULTANT.

LOCATION: Lekki Lagos

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Client Consultation and Relationship Management:
a. Act as the primary point of contact for clients understanding their event requirements objectives and preferences to deliver personalized event solutions.
b. Conduct indepth consultations with clients to assess their event needs budget constraints timeline and desired outcomes.
c. Develop customized event proposals recommendations and strategic plans in alignment with client expectations and company standards.
d. Build and nurture strong client relationships through effective communication responsiveness and proactive engagement throughout the event planning process.
e. Collaborate with clients to translate their vision into reality offering creative ideas innovative concepts and valueadded services to enhance the event experience.

  • Event Planning and Execution:
a. Coordinate all aspects of event planning including venue selection vendor management budgeting logistics timelines and guest experiences.
b. Create detailed event timelines production schedules and task lists to ensure smooth coordination and execution of all event elements.
c. Source and negotiate contracts with vendors suppliers and service providers to secure competitive pricing quality products and reliable services. d. Oversee onsite event logistics setup and coordination to ensure seamless execution and adherence to event plans and schedules.
e. Address any issues or challenges that may arise during events offering timely solutions troubleshooting and ensuring a positive guest experience.

  • Creative Concept Development and Design:
a. Collaborate with the creative team to develop event concepts themes decor branding and visual elements that align with client preferences and brand identity.
b. Offer creative input innovative ideas and unique solutions to elevate event design aesthetics ambiance and overall guest experience.
c. Present design concepts mood boards and visual presentations to clients for feedback revisions and final approval.
d. Source and recommend event decor props signage and branding materials to enhance the visual impact and thematic coherence of events.
e. Oversee the implementation of event designs ensuring quality execution attention to detail and consistency with the clients vision.

  • Budget Management and Financial Accountability:
a. Develop comprehensive event budgets cost estimates and financial projections based on client requirements and company pricing guidelines.
b. Monitor and track event expenses vendor payments and budget allocations to ensure adherence to financial targets and profitability goals.
c. Negotiate costeffective solutions discounts and valueadded services with vendors to optimize budget utilization and maximize cost savings.
d. Prepare and present regular budget reports financial summaries and postevent evaluations to clients and internal stakeholders.
e. Recommend strategic costsaving measures budget adjustments and revenuegenerating opportunities to enhance financial performance and client satisfaction.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors degree in event management hospitality marketing communications or a related field.
  • Minimum 57 years of experience in event planning coordination or consulting preferably in the event management industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and executing a variety of events from corporate functions and conferences to social celebrations and special occasions.
  • Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
  • Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills to engage with clients vendors and team members with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Creative flair design sensibility and vision to conceptualize and implement innovative event themes decor and experiences.
  • Proficiency in event management software project management tools and Microsoft Office suite for planning tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Strong financial acumen budget management skills and ability to analyze event costs revenue streams and profitability metrics.
  • Customerfocused mindset problemsolving abilities and commitment to delivering highquality service and memorable events that exceed client expectations
