Tasks

Role Overview:

Production of our first product Berry an autonomous strawberry harvesting robot is your main task. Our harvesting robots can move autonomously through the greenhouse pick fruits exchange the crates and handle difficult scenarios. All hardware components can be fully controlled by the robots software. Producing Berry means not only manufacturing and assembling hardware but also deploying and testing software on the robots. As the department leader you ensure that our products match our highquality standards and work reliably in the field. Together with our partner EBZ which does the sourcing mechanical and electrical assembly you will scale our production for todays and tomorrows robots.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the sourcing manufacturing assembly and testing of our robots
• Coordination with our partners on production and sourcing

Depending on your skills and interests:

• Engineering of testing and production equipment
• Coordination with our suppliers
• Close interaction with our R&D and service department to improve the design of Berry
• Updating the production line with design iterations of our robots and setting up new production lines for new products

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with either product development or production of softwarecontrolled hardware products
• Handson experience with mechanical or mechatronics engineering
• Handson experience with sourcing and production
• Experience with CADsystems (e.g. SolidEdge)
• A passion for the development and production of innovative solutions and creative ideas to improve our robots
• Team spirit and entrepreneurial thinking
• Fluency in German and English required
• German drivers license class B

Optional:

• Experience with product certification for example CE
• Experience with software development in C or Python
