About the role

As Operations / Office Manager you will be responsible for supporting various activities in and around our office in Munich. This is an opportunity to help shape local operations promote our company culture plan and execute events and remove logistical hurdles in a fastgrowing company. You will also work closely with our application engineering and sales teams to support various customer projects.

This role is based in our modern Munich office (Balanstrae) and will report directly to the Head of People and Places. Please note that we are an inoffice company which means the expectation is that you would come in to the office 5 days a week.

Tasks

  • Step into the role of office manager in Munich (30 employees) and oversee all officerelated tasks (managing meal and snack programs ordering office supplies handling basic IT tasks mail distribution etc.)
  • Adapt our office space in Munich to the changing needs of the business to create an attractive and productive work environment
  • Remotely support our growing EMEA team in Stockholm (5 employees) with their office operations
  • Help to build and invest in the local culture of the company (e.g. by organizing internal events)
  • Plan and organize internal and external events such as meetings and conference visits
  • Support new team members during their induction and help them to find their way around Applied
  • Support our company leadership during their travels to Europe by arranging travel itineraries and help with logistics
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere for our international employees who rotate to our offices in Europe and assist them in their transition
  • Roll up your sleeves to get things done and cooperate with external suppliers and partners where necessary
  • Work with our teams in the U.S. as well as with our partners in Germany to complete administrative tasks

Requirements

  • A Bachelors degree
  • Previous experience in at least one of the following: hospitality management events management real estate team workplace team executive assistant and/or business operations management
  • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation combined with a can do attitude
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and has excellent multitasking abilities
  • Technical acumen and IT affinity
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (English and German)
  • A love for building culture and enjoys injecting energy creativity and forward thinking to the workplace

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience from working in a high growth technology startup
  • Experience with the Google suite of tools (e.g. Gmail Google Docs Google Drive)
  • Experience using Slack on a professional level
  • German drivers license and car
