Kids Club Attendant
The Attendant helps in planning and implementing the daily activities for children, helps with safety and assists in maintaining a clean and orderly room and the Kids Club.
- Treat each child with dignity and respect.
- Recognizes and considers the individual needs of each child.
- Checks medical condition as written in the registration form.
- Helps children learn to think creatively, and respect themselves and others.
- Ensure that all kids have a registration form on file.
- Open and prepare Kids Club for daily activities.
- Responsible for the opening and closing of the Kids Club
- Assist in planning and implementing the daily program for children.
- Work on designated areas as assigned 2-4 or 5-12 age group, reception or baby administration, Birthdays, Parties, and Events.
- Works to prevent injuries and accidents, and handles them appropriately if they occur.
- Attends all staff training sessions, meetings, and programs as required.
- Shares with the responsibility of maintaining a clean, orderly room and the Kids Club.
- Performs other related duties as requested by the Supervisor.
- Report problems, injuries, and hazards promptly to the Supervisor.
- Dress kids as needed and change diapers.
- Based on proper security procedures ensure that every kid and parent has signed in and signed out in our sign-in and sign-out form.
- Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in the Kids Club area.
- Perform housekeeping duties in the Kids Club area as needed.
- Sanitize toys and play equipment.
- Interact with the children in a positive and age-appropriate manner.
- Physically and mentally reacts appropriately to unexpected circumstances.
- Able to stoop and bend to interact on children’s level throughout the day.
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed as needed within the day.
- Assist in the Recreation Centre if needed.
- Babysit kids outside Kids Club if needed especially at night-time.
- Follow kids club Operation Childcare Standards, Policies procedures, and Health guidelines
Qualifications
- Secondary / High school education / College Degree in General Education, Education, Early Childhood Education, Management, Tourism, Hospitality, Communications, Teaching, Hospitality and Tourism Management
- Basic computer skills
- Good proficiency in the English language, Arabic, or Russian speaker is preferred
- Previous work experience in Leisure or Hospitality would be an advantage
