LEAD SAP ABAP DEVELOPER
Overview
The SAP ABAP developer Consultant is responsible for the development maintenance and enhancement of ABAP programs in the projects. Resource will also be required to provide ABAP programming support to application teams. The SAP ABAP Developer analyzes user requirements procedures and problems to automate processes or to improve existing systems. Provides technical knowledge system design techniques methodologies tools and standards applied in the IT and business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the crossfunctional team to develop an integrated solutions to support business processes and project deliverables with an emphasis on quality productivity and consistency
Provide guidance and support to other IT staff members including developers administrators and analysts.
Stay uptodate with new SAP technologies and trends and provide recommendations for their adoption.
Act as the technical expert ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions.
Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build system testing and implementation phases of project.
Transform business function requirements into technical program specs to code test and debug programs.
Develop and maintain SAP design and technical specification documents
Develop code document and execute unit tests systems integration and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of high complexity.
Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions
Engage other technical team members in the design delivery and deployment of solutions.
Ensure integration system activities including monitoring the technical architecture (particularly scalability availability and archiving) meet all SLAs.
Undertake performance tuning activities for SAP integration activities. Gather requirements from business users and translate them into technical specifications.
Design code test and document new features and functionality in SAP applications.
Participate in peer reviews of code and design.
Support the business during the rollout and implementation of new features and functionality.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in SAP solution design and implementation.
Minimum of 2 full lifecycle S/4 Migration experience
Strong knowledge of SAP technologies including SAP S/4HANA SAP ECC SAP BW SAP Ariba SAP Cloud Platform and SAP Analytics Cloud.
Experience in SAP implementation methodologies including ASAP Agile and Waterfall.
10 years SAP ABAP development with a focus on software development
Experience using the ABAP programming language to modify and enhance SAP standard programs with the SAP enhancement framework.
Ability to work in a highly customized environment
Handson experience in ABAP development with good understanding of SAPs technical architecture; we are looking at all skill levels to expand our team
Expertise in software development practices (e.g. Object Oriented Programming transaction processing and database design)
Excellent ABAP debugging and strong troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders IT staff and vendors.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in leading and managing technical teams.
SAP certification is a plus.
