Requirements
About the Role:
As an Apprenticeship Assessor/Tutor youll play a crucial role in teaching delivering and assessing workbased learners completing apprenticeship standards and standalone regulated qualifications. You will also mentor and assess distance learning for Level 2 short courses. Delivery will be a blend of remote and facetoface interactions giving you a diverse and flexible work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and Assess: Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning Level 4 Certificate for the Advanced Practitioner in Schools and Colleges Level 4 Certificate in Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
- Build Relationships: Establish strong connections with learners ensuring they understand their tasks and deadlines.
- Proactive Communication: Maintain regular contact with learners and workplace managers ensuring all parties are informed of progress.
- Support and Advise: Guide learners in selecting appropriate units and levels specifying which aspects must be assessed through performance in the workplace.
- Attend Meetings: Participate in standardisation and training meetings.
- Conduct Assessments: Carry out skills scans and initial assessments to support enrolment and ensure course suitability.
- Prepare for EPA: Prepare learners for EPA conduct Gateway meetings and support the compilation of necessary Gateway requirements.
- Maintain Records: Conduct observations keep audit trails of progress and maintain uptodate CPD and occupational competence.
- Manage Caseload: Effectively manage your time and caseload of learners.

Qualifications:
- Level 3 Assessing Qualification (Level 3 CAVA or equivalent)
- Qualifications or documented competence in Teaching Assistance
- Ideally a Level 3 Education and Training delivery qualification or higher (or willingness to obtain this within 4 months of appointment)
- Enhanced DBS check
