Requirements

Your Role:

As a Childcare/Early Years Assessor/Tutor youll be a key player in our Childcare & Education Team sharing your expertise to help learners succeed. Youll be responsible for:

  • Managing an agreed caseload of learners across Surrey Sussex Hampshire and London.
  • Planning your own diary and visiting learners at their workplaces.
  • Providing onetoone and group support and teaching classes of around 12 students.
  • Conducting initial assessments to identify learners strengths and weaknesses.
  • Delivering interactive and engaging facetoface and online sessions.
  • Keeping your CPD uptodate and participating in delivery meetings.
  • Working with the IQA to develop and implement action plans.

What Were Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 in Early Years Childcare (up to Level 5 preferred). A recognised adult teaching qualification (Level 3 Certificate in Education in Training or equivalent) and an assessor qualification (CAVA or equivalent).
  • Experience: Teaching Assistant experience is essential. IQA qualification is desirable but not required.
  • Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills and a deep understanding of developments within the childcare sector.
  • Flexibility: Ability to travel as needed to learners workplaces.

To Succeed in This Role:

You should be able to plan and set goals effectively provide constructive feedback and support learners in their development. Youll need to monitor and evaluate ongoing progress while maintaining confidentiality.

IQA Desirable But Not Essential. Mainly remote working, delivering in Surrey, Sussex & Hampshire & London Some of your roles and responsibilities will include: Responsibility for an agreed caseload of learners across the work area. Planning your own diary Visiting learners within their place of work Providing one-to-one and group support Teaching classes of around 12 students Identifying learner s strengths and weaknesses through the initial assessment and supporting them accordingly to progress to next levels
