Certifications & Licenses:
- Ph.D. in Epidemiology Health Sciences or a related discipline with 2 years of experience or
- MPH in Epidemiology with 7 years of experience
Skills:
- Qualitative and quantitative data analyses including longitudinal studies and mixed methods research
- Leadership in epidemiologic research
- Knowledge of the epidemiology of tobacco use and current field advancements
- Proficiency in data analysis software (SAS SPSS Stata R Mplus)
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Summary:
The contractor will support the operational objectives of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) by providing epidemiologic research and analytic expertise for the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for scientific programs.
- Design and analyze surveys protocols informed consent documents and SOPs.
- Coordinate study implementation and data collection.
- Manage projects from inception to completion ensuring timely progress reports.
- Provide research management and support for major projects including protocol development and data collection.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative assessments.
- Develop research plans and contribute to various aspects of the PATH Study.
- Collect analyze and create scientific information for diverse audiences.
- Organize and participate in workshops and scientific meetings.
- Provide scientific evaluation and identify gaps in existing research.
- Assist in literature searches and new project planning.
- Provide regular reports to leadership on project status.
- Develop and monitor scientific planning and evaluation processes.
- Make recommendations for new research initiatives and strategies
