Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Responsible for coding all diagnoses and procedures for Neurosurgery according to ICD10CM UHDDS American Medical Associations CPT4 and client guidelines for both the facility and professional fee charges.
• Responsible for keeping current on all GeBBS and client coding policies and procedures while ensuring all procedure changes and additions are understood.
• Responsible to discuss any unclear information needing clarification with supervisor and/or data quality specialist.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes and communicates these changes to Coding Supervisor

Qualifications

AHIMA Credential: RHIT RHIA CCS preferred; AAPC Credential: CPC considered

Minimum of 4 years Neurosurgery facility and profee coding experience (recent)

Available 40 hours/week to be completed by 6pm PST daily

Principals of ICD10 Outpatient Coding CPT4/HCPCS coding

Maintains accuracy of diagnosis code assignment per client and GeBBS Healthcare Solutions policies.

Maintains productivity levels per client and GeBBS policies.

Maintains reports and their integrity by ensuring that all data is entered and recorded as directed by supervisor and director.

Communicates in a responsible manner according to GeBBS policies
