Job Description:
- The Medical Systems Analyst provides systems management that includes the global implementation support and maintenance of the Electronic Medical Record system (EMR) Specific responsibilities may include:
- Under the supervision of the Chevron Team Lead support and maintain EMR/medical database users.
- Partnering with the vendor provide system life cycle support to the EMR.
- Provide EMR training and develop user guides.
- Gather and document business requirements develops user cases configures the system as requested.
- Manage and address support requests.
- Support international locations in EEMEA Asia Pac Americas and International Shipping.
- Engage and meet as needed.
- Testing and coordination system software upgrades of the application.
- Gather and document business and functional requirements for enhancement of the
- Global EMR Application including development of use cases use case scenarios and User
- Interface design employing standard techniques and templates.
- Provide first level enduser application support to EMR users. Responsible for ensuring
- EMR issues/concerns are promptly attended to until resolved. Escalate to vendor as needed.
- Setup maintain and audit user access based on role and approved privileges.
- Ability to prioritize efforts that address concurrent demands arising from project deployment schedules vendor interactions global BU needs etc.
- Applies understanding of data principles to develop and manage EMR data quality assurance reports system audit tools and to the development of products to meet global EMR user requirements.
- EMR vendor management liaison between the EMR vendor and Chevron (CVX). Ensure request specifications and expectations are clear.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited fouryear university.
- Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive information securely and confidentially.
- Experience working on electronic medical records systems.
- Familiarity of one or more of the following tools environment and languages: SQL (MySQL/MariaDB/SQL Server) HTML Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format with a diverse group of employees.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Health related education.
- At least two years experience with the following following tools environment and languages: PowerBI Microsoft Azure CSS JavaScript.
- Knowledge of medical terminologies standards and protocols to assess requirements and formulating solutions. This includes International Code of Diagnoses (ICD version 9 and 10) Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) DRG RxNorm National Drug Code (NDC) Health Level Seven (HL7) FHIR SNOMEDCT LOINC DICOM UMLS among others.
