Floating Early Years Educator (PartTime/Flexible Hours)
Our client a leading private day nursery in Horsforth Leeds is seeking a dedicated and flexible Early Years Educator to join their team as a "Floater" providing cover across different rooms as needed.
About Our Client:
Our client is a unique nursery that provides an exceptional learning environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. They believe in the power of outdoor play and nature and their curriculum is inspired by Scandinavian Forest School philosophies. Their idyllic setting includes a nature reserve yurt outdoor classroom and nearby woodland offering endless opportunities for exploration and discovery.
About the Role:
As a "Floating" Early Years Educator you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of the nursery by providing flexible cover across different age groups and rooms. Your daily start time will be 7:30am and your hours can vary depending on the nurserys needs potentially ranging from as little as 2 hours to a full day.
Responsibilities:
- Provide sensitive care and support to children of all ages including nappy changing feeding and toileting routines.
- Deliver engaging activities that promote physical cognitive social and emotional development aligning with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Observe and assess childrens progress maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with room staff.
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers keeping them informed about their childs progress.
- Adapt to different classroom routines and age groups demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
- Contribute to the overall health and safety of the nursery environment.
