Job Description
The Engineering Department is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer to be based out of White Plains NY or Stamford CT offices. This individual will serve a key function in helping our local municipal clients develop and design Complete Streets projects sidewalks and bike lanes linear roadway improvements drainage improvements and other capital improvements projects to make our roadways safer and more efficient for all road users. The potential candidate will have the opportunity to work in an environment of encouragement and collaboration to help shape the future of the region
Job Responsibilities:
Essential Requirements:
- 510 years experience.
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering
- Strongly prefer NYS or CT PE (or the ability to obtain the PE licensure within 612 months of hire).
- Experience with Westchester County Connecticut and/or local municipalities and agencies preferred.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Knowledge of stormwater modelling software (e.g. Hydro CAD AutoCAD SSA Flow Master etc.) preferred.
- Progressively increasing responsibility in project management
- Working knowledge of roadway design including alignments grading and drainage utility relocation water main sewer and MPT
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Superior attention to detail and organizational ability
