Assignment Description and Requirements
We are seeking a skilled HardwareintheLoop (HIL) Configuration Engineer to join our team focused on automotive embedded software development. In this role you will play a crucial part in ensuring the functionality and reliability of our automotive control systems through the configuration and operation of HIL test environments. Key Responsibilities: HIL System Configuration: Configure and maintain HIL test systems including hardware interfaces signal conditioning and simulation models to accurately represent realworld automotive environments. Test Case Development: Collaborate with software developers and system engineers to design implement and execute test cases for verifying the performance and functionality of embedded software components. Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industrystandard tools (e.g. dSPACE AutomationDesk NI TestStand) to streamline the testing process and increase efficiency. Fault Injection: Implement fault injection techniques to evaluate the robustness and resilience of embedded software systems under various operating conditions and failure scenarios. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies tools and infrastructure.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Proven experience in configuring and operating HIL test systems for automotive applications.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python C/C or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN LIN FlexRay) and diagnostic standards (ISO 14229 UDS).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automotive simulation tools (e.g. dSPACE ControlDesk ETAS INCA).
- Knowledge of modelbased development and verification methodologies (MIL SIL PIL).
- Familiarity with software version control systems (e.g. Git Perforce) and issue tracking tools (e.g. JIRA).
