Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team responsible for planning and managing patient care in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assessment and Planning:
- Apply physical and psychosocial skills to identify clinical issues through comprehensive assessments of patients and their families.
- Create and implement detailed nursing care plans within 24 hours of patient admission encompassing the entire patient journey from admission to discharge.
- Collaborate with patients families and the rehabilitation team to set realistic patientcentered goals promoting wellness and independence.
Patient Care:
- Monitor and document subtle changes in patient conditions especially in complex cases and take appropriate nursing actions.
- Operate independently and efficiently in emergency situations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed document patient responses and anticipate potential adverse reactions.
- Conduct medication reconciliations during each visit informing the clinical team and physicians of any changes or issues.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as a resource for the healthcare team.
- Develop and document comprehensive teaching and discharge plans.
- Communicate therapeutically with patients and families.
- Advocate for patients within the healthcare team.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and patient care conferences to coordinate efforts.
Professional Development and Compliance:
- Maintain and update nursing skills and competencies regularly.
- Complete all required documentation including OASIS promptly and accurately.
- Mentor and support new staff serving as a preceptor when needed.
- Engage in continuous professional development and adhere to established nursing practice standards.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Plan and delegate tasks effectively ensuring timely completion of patient care activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment promptly reporting any hazards.
- Adhere to policies on universal precautions patient rights and organizational values.
- Participate in oncall and weekend rotations as necessary.
- Attend all required inservices and team meetings.
Requirements
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
- Education: Associate Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with a commitment to ongoing education and credential maintenance.

Proven experience as a registered nurse. Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures. Excellent knowledge of emergency care. In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times. A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsible and compassionate. Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills. Patient with excellent problem-solving skills. B.Sc or other diploma from a nursing program. A valid nursing license.
