PASQALisbuilding and developing Quantum Processing Units (QPU) that enable highly performant computation using neutral atoms manipulated with lasers. We havepartnerships with key users in fields such as energy IT finance drug and chemical design and automotive. Due to growth we are adding a MidSenior Systems Engineer to supportongoing improvements with our Quantum Register.The Quantum Register team pushes the limits of the performance of the QPUs register enabling scalability and high repetition rate. We are looking for highly motivated and experienced engineer to join this team. You will have a key role at PASQAL developing ideas and innovating in a growing industry.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead technical developments on the hardware aspect of the quantum register of PASQALs QPU.
- Develop small mathematical and physics models and simulations.
- Collaborate closely with other teams in the hardware department.
- Documentation: prepare detailed and comprehensive test plan and reports on the outcome of the technical development.
- Communicating scientific results between within and outside the team.
- Supervision of junior engineers and master students.
- Project management of smallscale projects
Tobe successful in this role you will have the following experience:
Education: PhD & 1 years professional experience (experimental)
Hard skills: - Indepth knowledge in experimental physics (LightMatter interactions quantum computing)
- Strong interest for experimental physics and mathematical/physics models.
- Programming skills for data analysis and simulations (Python ...).
- Versioning control is a plus (git tools)
- Experience in managing smallscale projects.
- Industry experience highly desired
Soft skills: - Autonomy and organization.
- Strong Communication and listening skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Theory Experimental).
- Fluent level of written and spoken English. French is a plus.
