Workshop Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage the operational activities for the workshop.
• The safety and quality aspects of the team are maintained at a high level.
• Manage the budget and the P&L for the cost centre.
• Schedule the WIP jobs and monitor job progress to ensure timely job completion in accordance with contractual commitment.
• The Plant Equipment are maintained and calibrated timely.
• Review the workload and make manpower deployment accordingly.
• Review the proficiency matrix for each individual and plan for trainings accordingly.
• Devise succession plan for critical personnel within the team to ensure ample cover support in times of surge or absence.
• Identify suitable continuous improvement projects to improve on the safety quality and process workflow to achieve savings.
• Set a high level of discipline and commitment for the technicians.
• Propose KPIs for the team individuals to achieve for the work year and track their progress in a periodic and timely manner.
• Coordinate with other workshop managers in collective efforts to improve costs quality and turnaround time.

Requirements:

• Degree in Aerospace Mechanical Electrical & Electronics engineering or other relevant disciplines.
• Preferably have experience in landing gear facility.
• Relevant experience in component repair & overhaul outfit.
• Prior experience in leading and managing a big team.
