About Us:
Our client with specialization in the construction development and maintenance of sports facilities including fields that have natural and artificial turf is recruiting for a Construction Buyer / Admin Assistant. This position in based in the East Rand.
Job Summary:
The Construction Buyer / Admin Assistant will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and supplies needed for construction projects as well as providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing:
Source and purchase materials equipment and supplies for construction projects.
Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals.
Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and establish new vendor connections.
Track and manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials.
Review and process purchase orders invoices and delivery notes.
Ensure compliance with company policies and project requirements.
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative assistance to the construction team including scheduling meetings preparing reports and maintaining records.
Manage incoming and outgoing communications including emails and phone calls.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of project documentation.
Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodation for team members.
Maintain office supplies and equipment ensuring they are wellstocked and functional.
Support the HR department with onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor s degree in business administration supply chain management or a related field is a plus.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook).
Knowledge of procurement software and tools is advantageous.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
