You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailA Collections and Credit Control Manager in the telecom industry plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the company by managing receivables minimizing bad debt exposure and optimizing cash flow.
Developing Credit Policies: The manager is responsible for developing and refining credit policies and procedures to ensure they align with the companys financial objectives and risk tolerance. This includes establishing criteria for customer creditworthiness assessment setting credit limits and defining payment terms.
Credit Assessment and Approval: They oversee the credit assessment process which involves analyzing credit reports payment histories financial statements and other relevant data to evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers. Based on their assessment they approve or decline credit applications and determine appropriate credit limits.
Monitoring Receivables: The manager monitors accounts receivable aging reports to track outstanding balances and identify delinquent accounts. They analyze trends identify potential risks and take proactive measures to address overdue payments and minimize bad debt exposure.
Collections Strategy: They develop and implement collections strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce bad debt losses. This includes establishing communication protocols escalation procedures and automated workflows for contacting delinquent customers issuing reminders and negotiating payment arrangements.
Customer Communication: The manager oversees communication with customers regarding payment reminders account inquiries and resolution of billing disputes. They ensure that communication is professional courteous and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Dispute Resolution: They handle escalated billing disputes and customer complaints related to billing errors service interruptions or payment issues. They work closely with internal departments such as customer service billing and sales to resolve disputes promptly and maintain customer satisfaction.
Reporting and Analysis: They generate reports and provide analysis on key performance metrics such as days sales outstanding (DSO) bad debt reserves aging receivables and collections effectiveness. They use this data to identify trends evaluate the effectiveness of collections strategies and make recommendations for process improvements.
Graduates with at least 8 years of experience in revenue assurance collection and credit control activities. Proven experience as a Collection Manager or similar role and knowledge of billing procedures and various collection techniques.
