We are seeking a SchoolBased Physical Therapist for the upcoming school year!
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct Assessments: Evaluate students motor skills balance coordination and functional mobility to identify areas of need.
- Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized physical therapy plans tailored to each students specific needs and goals.
- Provide Therapy Services: Deliver direct physical therapy services including exercises activities and use of adaptive equipment to enhance students physical abilities and independence.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with teachers special education staff parents and other professionals to integrate physical therapy goals into students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and daily activities.
- Monitor Progress: Track and document students progress adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
- Educate and Train: Provide training and resources to school staff and families on techniques and strategies to support students physical development and participation in school activities.
- Compliance: Ensure all therapy services comply with state and federal regulations as well as school district policies.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Possess a valid Physical Therapy Illinois State License
- Previous school experience is preferred allowing you to hit the ground running and excel in this role.
