About the role:

As a Software Engineer youll be part of a client team building innovative products. We expect you to be curious passionate driven and enthusiastic Youll be proficient at problemsolving and crafting scalable resilient and faulttolerant architectures. Youll be an effective communicator and a team player. You and your team will move in a fastpaced engineering environment achieving outstanding results and delivering exciting projects.

About You:

A YLD Software Engineering Consultant is a highly skilled developer who exemplifies the highest standard in software engineering and enjoys sharing their knowledge and experience with others.

Youll have the opportunity to build and deliver software within some interesting projects both in terms of the product and the methodology. We work in an Agile environment (Scrum) with a testfirst mindset (actually writing code without tests should be unthinkable). We are also big advocates of pair programming and nothing is released until we have a code review.

You have a real passion for problemsolving and are an active learner who gets excited by working collaboratively with those around you.

Requirements

Your daytoday responsibilities will look like this:

Crafting excellent products! As a FullStack Engineer you will be building new features that meet the needs of our clients customers as well as improving the tools processes of their teams;

• Design implement and maintain cloud infrastructure tooling TypeScript and Pulumi;
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices into their development workflows;
• Automate deployment processes and design CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery;
• Ensure the scalability reliability and security of cloudbased systems and services;
• Working closely with your team regularly collaborating and on engineering initiatives to continually push yourselves to be better;
• Participating in regular show and tells promoting your work to both your department and the wider company;
• Joining our clients internal events including meeting external speakers going to quiz nights etc.

Youll have the following skills and experience:

• Commercial experience of working with Typescript;
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Pulumi Terraform or AWS CloudFormation;
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and services (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud);
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes as well as managed function architectures (e.g. AWS Lambda Azure Functions);
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g. GitHub Actions);
• Experience in distributed version control systems (e.g. Git);
• Experience in testing your products.
