Job Description:
Controls engineer/manager will be responsible for supporting the global planning execution and programs coordination of the Controls and SW platform solution for Transmissions.
Key Responsibilities
Providing Feasibility and cost assessment for Controls & SW to the vehicle/programs.
Representing the Controls System (Controllers and SW) vs the Propulsion System Community as primary interface.
Coordinating Controls Features development.
Defining Feature Rollout Plan (What and When) that aligns to over all program milestones and objectives.
Playing a key role in the Controls & SW change Management Quality assessment and Risk mitigation
. Lead and mentor a team of controls engineers fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Ensure rigorous validation of control functions to meet and exceed specified requirements throughout the vehicle development cycle.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and other engineering units to drive the development of cuttingedge controls technology.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in controlling engineering processes methodologies and technologies. Qualifications & Skills Required:
As need to work on Complex Systems it is essential the successful candidate can show a proven record of working on his/her own initiative and within a team delivering high quality and robust technical solutions
Bachelor/Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience (2 years in automotive)
Ability to work in an Agile environment.
Previous experience as Controls/SW developer using Matlab Simulink/Stateflow Embedded C testing or calibration engineer will be considered a plus
Be proactive take ownership and be accountable.
Familiarity with software development tools and debugging techniques.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a teamoriented environment and communicate clearly. Excellent problemsolving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
