Key Result Areas
Objective:
To efficiently manage procurement operations ensuring cost efficiency quality and compliance with company standards.
Role & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
CostEffective Procurement: Strategically procure packing and other materials while maintaining cost efficiency through effective planning and negotiation.
Quality Assurance: Ensure quality checks are conducted on all consignment lots and maintain accurate records of materials onloaded/offloaded in trucks.
Optimized Commodity Procurement: Secure commodities at the best possible rates while maintaining quality standards.
Target Commodities: Oilseeds Beans & Pulses Grains and Animal Feed.
Operational Oversight: Take charge of all warehouse procurement and operational activities within the region.
Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with cleaning vendors cha freight forwarders labor contractors and other relevant stakeholders.
Purchase Model: Operate on a Free on Board (FOB) basis with flexible payment terms to suppliers.
Documentation: Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner at every stage of procurement.
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate container arrangements as per bookings made by the logistics team.
Language Requirement: Fluency in French is essential.
2. Previous Experience and Skill Sets
Experience: 1012 years of experience in a similar role with a minimum of 5 years experience in Canada preferred.
3. Qualifications and Education Requirements
MBA/PG from the Institute of AgriBusiness Management or equivalent.
