Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal and Compliance to establish and lead our inhouse legal and corporate division. This position will play a pivotal role in managing a growing portfolio of companies ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions and navigating the complexities of international law. The ideal candidate will have a broad legal expertise particularly in corporate law international law immigration and regulatory compliance with a creative and strategic approach to overcoming challenges in grey markets.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft review and manage agreements contracts and trusts across CY UK Curaao Marshall Islands Dubai.
  • Maintain uptodate corporate and UBO KYC/KYB documentation for all company structures.
  • Oversee immigration and VISA processes for company employees across various jurisdictions.
  • Manage applications for gambling licenses bank accounts and other regulatory compliance needs.
  • Handle family law tasks including property deals/agreements and investigations into property backgrounds.
  • Develop and implement legal and compliance strategies to facilitate business operations in grey markets.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external legal advisors and service providers across different jurisdictions.
  • Lead and grow the legal/corporate division setting strategic direction and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments affecting the business and advise on risk management strategies.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified legal background in Cyprus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience with a strong background in corporate law international law and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience managing legal and compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions particularly CY UK Curaao Marshall Islands and Dubai.
  • Proven track record in immigration law corporate structuring and managing legal aspects of financial services ideally including gambling licenses.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to establish and grow an inhouse legal division.
  • Excellent analytical negotiation and problemsolving skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to devise effective strategies to navigate legal and regulatory challenges in grey markets.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with proficiency in English and Greek. Additional language skills relevant to the jurisdictions of operation are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment.
