• Screening planetarium shows in the digital dome on weekends
  
• Screening shows on public holidays and commemorative days
  
• Screening shows for private functions birthday parties after hours
  
• Maintaining high standard of knowledge dissemination in astronomy and space science
  
• Making planetarium accessible to all audiences
  
• Ensuring high level of technical expertise to operate the digital system
  
• Supporting learning and information sharing through relevant astronomy content screening planetarium shows in the digital dome on weekends
  

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• BSC/BEng/Diploma in Astronomy Space Science Natural Science or related field.
  
• Minimum of 2 years experience as Planetarium operators
  
• Ability to perform without supervision
  
• Excellent computer skills programming skills and audiovisual skills advantageous
  
• Strong English communication and presentation skills fluency in Afrikaans and isiXhosa advantages
  
• Knowledge/experience of recent developments in astronomy and space science
